Palm Sunday 2025 at Our lady Queen of Peace 4 pm mass. Fr. Anthony was the celebrant at today's celebration. It was a beautiful mass. Father Anthony's beautiful chalice is on display here. Palm Sunday marks Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, the week before his death on the cross and subsequent resurrection. In ancient times, palm branches symbolized goodness and victory and as Jesus arrived into Jerusalem, it is said palms were placed in his path.
Ladies of Charity busy preparing. On Palm Sunday weekend, the Ladies of Charity will be at OLQP and St Margaret parish sites distributing their beautiful home made palm crosses and rosettes. Free will offerings are accepted with all proceeds going to the Schenectady Food Pantries. On April 6, the ladies were at St Margaret's making those crosses and rosettes. This weekend, January 11-12, the Church celebrated the Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord. This feast brings to an end the season of Christmas. What better way to bring the season to an end, than by listening to the church choir. They sang absolutely beautifully this afternoon when they sang Far Away in a Manger and I Have Loved you.

Sunday, November 24th, Bishop Edward Scharfenberger conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation. Best of luck as you continue to grow in your faith. The sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. Here are a few scenes from the day.

Farewell Reception: A farewell reception was held for Fr. Yusko on Sunday, June 23rd at the St. Madeleine Sophie Parish Center. All were invited to attend and bid Fr. Yusko goodbye and Godspeed on his future appointment. Here are a few pictures from this event.

Good Friday March 29, 2024. Fr Yusko was the celebrant. Good Friday is a day Christians regard as the day Jesus was crucified. It is a day that leads up to Easter Sunday when Jesus was resurrected.
Behold the wood of the cross -- This was a very moving service - the choir contributed so much to the beauty of the Celebration of the Passion of the Lord. Fr Yusko's homily was memorable. It was a beautiful evening.
