Dear Parishioners,

Greetings in Christ! My name is Fr. Anthony Chibueze Onu, and I am honored to join this parish as your new Parochial Vicar. I am especially excited to be back with you, having spent last

summer here. It is a privilege to embark on this journey with you and to serve our parish community.

I was born in the Southeastern part of Nigeria and am proud to be of Igbo ethnicity. I came to the United States in 2017 and have been part of the Diocese of Albany since 2018. My formation included two years in Albany, during which I also pursued a master’s degree in Catholic Philosophy. In 2020, I continued my theological studies at Mundelein Seminary in Illinois,

graduating this past spring. By the grace of God, I was ordained to the Catholic priesthood in May of this year and was blessed to be assigned to this wonderful community. As your Parochial Vicar, I am here to assist Fr. Jim in serving our parish. I am eager to learn and grow alongside you as a young priest. I look forward to meeting each of you and getting to know your stories as we journey together in faith. Please feel free to say hello anytime.
